This Department has always been highly respected and officers looked upon as professionals and non playing figures. These officers who violate these DOs which have caused others to be wrongfully targeted, reprimanded and then fired; are now being overlooked and protected. This is not right at all. Supervisors shall cover their arms too and check for recently inked arms. We grow beards or ink a beard on our faces to then abide by rules.

I have to agree. Tattoos and beards all along. I see officers working off duties with beards all the time, come on now. What difference does it make if its on patrol.

Nothing wrong with a thick mustache and or beard. If we allow someone to permanently ink their arms and neck, why not allow to wear something that our bodies produce naturally? This sounds like a grievance!!!

This dept is elite, and the abundance of officers on patrol with exposed overt offending tattoos is way out of line. Please someone do something !!!!!

It's the new age. Id rather have none and get temp ones in order to fool buyers or sellers. Once these guys get busted by the uc with the skull eagle on forearm or a female uc with a flower on arm, that's it... you are made for sure, there goes your cover. I'm clean and with a new fresh tat on every buy!!! With a beard one day, clean shaven the next, goatee on the third and so on. Learn from the elite. Stand down sailor that's an order!!!
