We will not tolerate the inking or defacing of a human body over the natural growing of ones hair on their faces. This is a sin to the human body and a violation of the uniform rule. Unacceptable at the academy, just alike facial hair is unacceptable at the academy. Upon graduation, only beards are continued to be not allowed and punishable. Totally WRONG!!!!

What are we waiting for to enforce the tattoo rule or stop discriminating those who wish to grow their beards after the police academy?? This is sick to look at and swallow. This is wrong. How did you get racist, out of a saying beards and tattoo's are like sh!t and piss? When you became a police officer, you unwilling gave up certain rights. You now live in a fish bowl and all you say and do reflex upon the department and city. The community isn't crying over officers with tattoo's. It's the *****'s like you working here, that feel entitlement, who are. I could care less if you had a beard or your whole dumb azz body was covered it tat's. I didn't join the department to be a model. Apparently, you did. If you want to be a pretty boy in uniform go to work for FHP or BSO. Better yet, get some real experience and get promoted or run for Mayor and make the change. Coming on the internet or saying the B.S. artiest at the FOP are going to make real changes. WOW! God died on our cross wearing a beard. He had no tattoos on his arms or body. It's offending to all of us that beards are not allowed and ink filled arms and neck are roaming freely.

It's sickening to see these newspaper ink covered members in uniform representing our badge glory and organization. A little more respect to those few members who have never inked their arms and necks and have the upmost respect for this beloved department!!!!! It's time we respect all faiths and genders.

Uniform inspection at the station is a joke and bias all the way. Members are spoken to and disciplined for not shaving, while those with exposed arm tattoos are not spoken to or ordered to cover up.
