It's okay members, our voices are being heard and we will no further have to be exposed to this unfairness any longer. Uniform directive was immediately reformed and soon all tasteless overt exaggerated and offending tattoos will be a thing of the past. Their immediate concealment will be mandated by the use of long sleeve class b shirts. This organization believes in a work place free of hostility and direct or indirect offense. We will no longer be forced to witness or interprete art on members arms which openly depicts diabolical or violent scenes. We choose to work along side members who all represent our departments logo and that's it. We shouldn't have to be forced to swallow your personal taste of art daily. This is the best organization in Dade and let's keep it that way.

Yesssss we need beards to earn the same respect tattoos have acquired. We also need to respect our black brother Hagan who was discriminated and terminated for tattoo violations. Several dozen members were and are currently violating the same set of rules that he was harassed for. Those are still here untouched and he is not. We need our manager and Chief to open case and re employ him. Cover all tattoos now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Embarrassing to see these members in uniform with one and two arms covered in ridiculous tattoos, while those of us forbidden to grow our beards. This organization knows better and will respect our rights as individuals. We love this organization and professionalism is paramount. All members and superiors, lead by example and adhere to the tattoo uniform rule. We all shave and adhere to the rules. Its time for those of you who ink up and laugh at the rules, to respect and cover up!!! City Hall is working for fairness.

Beards and tattoos not allowed in the police academy. Once members graduate, then tattoos allowed and beards are not. Completely unfair, bias and discriminatory. This shall end immediately. Dear Chief, Mayor, City and County Commissioners, address this issue immediately!!!!! We worship religions and our beards are as important as these fools wearing cosmetic tattoos on their arms and necks when in uniform. We shall not accept this form of discrimination!!!!

This organization needs to halt protecting members with exposed arms and neck tattoos while members wishing to grow their beards are discriminated and mandated to acquire a doctors note. It is a Hippa violation to disclose my skin condition and to be required to carry a doctors note on demand. Its our right to keep our medical issues private and free from mandated disclosure to any and whoever superior. Members continue to tattoo themselves and no disciplinary action is taken against them. Members forgett to shave and immediately harassed and mandated to shave. Wrong and bias approach to these members who choose to represent religion and self expression. Tattoos are not any better than facial hair on men and women. We must continue to fight and stand for what is right. We love this department, and justice shall prevail for those of us whom have respected rules and waited patiently for beards to be allowed while on patrol and on duty.
