A lot has been said in regards to the past administration at the PD. Finally KV and hopefully MP will be gone also. But
rest assured the problems still remain. The entrenched favored son/good old boys remain and in full control. Recently the current interim chief promoted many of the boys to detective, further decimating patrol. Some of these promotes would say things have gotten better under CM reign, they certainly have not. We put the blame on KV for the whole mess, MP was only the asst for what two years, but CM now he has been a major part of the problem all along, but kept in KV's shadow. I have to give him credit, he hid well, politicking for himself and setting himself up for the chiefs job. People say he didn't even apply for the job, don't be fooled, he had it all along. Everything that has transpired here over the past ten years is just as much CM's fault as it was KV's. CM ran patrol, he was third in charge, always went along and never ever spoke up. He is two faced and talks as they say out of both sides of his mouth, anyone who works or worked here knows that. Now we have the full info on a hire who was actually sworn in and wanted to leave, so he applied to SCSO and failed the lie detector test, come to find out he participated in beastioligy with a dog and had domestic violence incidents. Hired and sworn in and paid by the taxpayers and all this was missed or ignored on his background. Since CM has been chief, the shooting incident at the morgan center, lies and cover up. The latest homicide a man with a gun shoots an unarmed man and NPPD rules it justified self defense, this was not a complicated case. but hey the stats, cant have a murder The stingray case a few years ago, CM was involved, CM is a nice guy, very personable but lacks even the basic knowledge to be a supervisor let alone a Captain or Chief. He is a political hack and VC crony. Its time for a new chief, not infected by the corruption or favoritism which haunts the NPPD. One who be there own man or woman and straighten this place out, problem is can we afford to lose all the uneducated a$$kissers that a real chief would send packing. CM do yourself a favor, be a man, admit wrong, get your experienced officers back on the job, admit the wrong, Hire back all those who would come back, who were forced retired or fired on a KV whim, its the right thing to do for the dept and the taxpayers, show us you are your own man and a leader, stop being a political ***** and be a chief. Then you will gain the respect of us and the taxpayers.
