New patrol shift hours
Which 90 thousand dollar idiot came up with these hours. Constantly 17 calls holding at 5-530 every day and now you have half you’re day shift gone at 4:45pm. Then add in a 30 minute briefing by the night time sergeants, this is an absolute disaster.

It doesn't matter, the people that are implementing this have never worked the road.. SMH

Where is the patrol focus group to actually give the officer and road patrol input on this? Since road patrol officers are the one who have their boots on the ground handling these influx of calls during the 530pm hour... not the 90k Lieutenant sitting in his office all day. This is typical FMPD and they wonder why morale is always in the toilet

I like the hours. Getting off at 4:45am is way better than 6am. I just feel bad for you saps having to wake up at 330am to make the 445 briefing

Can we put the specialties on a schedule too? Why should the bike guys and other assorted people get to just flex around to gain details and overtime why the rest of us don’t have that luxury?

I just want to know how the bike guys justify a 12 hour shift. Add up all their time and you get 99 minutes around the station, 2 hours with the pizza shop, 4 hours at their Jackson street office, 3 hours at the fire station. So they basically work 2 hours a day???
