Are you telling me BSO had no say in the system when they purchased it. No parameters and safe guards they want or whether it meets all the standards for law enforcement? From what was reported in the article is that they learned the system was down when calls dropped and the decreased volume of calls coming in. Why was there no alarm going off? Do they not have an alarm to alert the employees right away.

Then you have the link up to the mutual aid channel issue at the school shooting? Why? In Miami Dade the county works with cities and various fed operations and they have no problems. Also as they are not all on the same county system when one has a problem say Miami Beach has an issue then the county dispatches for them and if the county has a problem in say northeast Miami Dade they can get help from North Miami Beach and other neighboring cities. Not all being on one system can have it positives and negatives.

Actually, yeah. BSO was hired to put people in the seats. BSO has zero say in the equipment. It is 1000% the County's responsibility. They select it, they buy it, they maintain it. Not BSO.
