Not really. I remember back in 2015 they were turning away overweight applicants at the PAT. Today, they are allowing them to continue with a "commitment" of weighing less by the start of the academy if they get picked up. If they are still overweight by the start of the academy, it is up to the academy chain of command to deny them.

This is what one say when they have no clue how this works.
There are about 3 or 4 places for a newb to get weeded out: During the application process, at the academy, during FTO, and sadly, during regular duties after FTO. It has all appearances to me that the system is working just fine. You can't seriously think that 100% of the recruits are 100% suited for this, do you?

Lol the only reason FHP pays you to get trained is because if they didn't, nobody would apply except all the rejects. Wait, that's kinda already happening.
And FHP is always hiring not because they're a great agency but because they're struggling to maintain some kind of staffing. They're always below minimum staffing, so they can't even maintain that!
