BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. - The Broward Sheriff's Office's largest union renewed its contract this week as its director expressed the union's support for Sheriff Scott Israel amid controversy over his handling of the Feb. 14 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

"With all the recent issues going on in the county, we the Federation of Public Employees want to thank you for all you do for the 2,500 BSO employees we represent," FOPE BSO Unit Director Anthony Marciano wrote Monday in an email to the sheriff. "As your largest union, we support you and have confidence in how you are running this large complex agency."

Marciano sold us out just so he wouldn't have to actually work. Even sheriff hairplugs made a remark at the jail how he was shocked Marciano actually showed up. Marciano is one big 💩 TURD, that only cares about Marciano. Hairplugs has got what six colonels, who do absolutely nothing and we get 3%. Oh Marciano got a longevity raise for those with 20 years, but 90% of us got a f-ing insult. Go lick his candied nuts Marciano.

It’s very simple Marciano is the polor opposite of Jeff Bell.

This guy Bell, I’ll tell you what he is... He’s a rarity. An honest person that has the courage and integrity to do the right thing even if it puts his job in jeopardy. He’s someone that puts the membership first and speaks out because it is the right thing to do. He doesn’t wait for the FDLE report to come out to do the safe thing and craft an opinion based on the report. He does the right thing based upon what we already knew, and have known for a long time to be true. This administration has destroyed the Sheriffs office. Jeff is someone that doesn’t sacrifice his principles or beliefs because of fear or political pressure. That’s something for the so called leaders of the non law enforcement unions to do when the Sheriff personally calls them to bribe them for a token of support.

I know people are having a hard time figuring Jeff Bell out. That’s because he’s the real deal. Something that Broward has never seen before. A man of principles and integrity. He took the unpaid union leadership position to address the issues affecting law enforcement. He puts up with the stress, pressure and headaches that make his life harder so that he can make others lives better.

In short, Bell is a true leader and a role model that others aspiring to leadership should follow.

The Sheriff hates people like Bell. He can’t bribe or intimidate him and that makes him dangerous in the eyes of the Sheriff. For corruption and incompetence to thrive, people have to stay out of the mix and not get involved. That’s what the sheriff wants and Bell won’t give that to him.

Bravo Jeff Bell, Bravo!

Corrections needs a union leader like Bell.

Marciano is a scab Fock, who licks Mumbles azz. For a no work position. He's going to bring up well three deputies crossed our pocket line. Like they weren't going to report to work for you. You cowards all went to work.

If I remember correctly, and I'm sure that I do, family, friends and neighbors came out to support DOD in 2009 during the picket. Why ? Because you were our neighbors and friends. When we're down, children are unsafe in our county, where are you ? In retribution mode. Always defended all of you against the windbreaker, turnkey etc. jokes. Many don't care about the raise. We are parents. We want law enforcement again. Only 38 of you had the heart to put children first and stand up to a twisted ideology? You didn't even get yourselves a fair raise. You're exposed to violence, MRSA, lack of ventilation, etc. That's all you think you're worth ? Really ? Disheartening to say the very least.

Who the Hell in the membership ranks authorized Marciano to author a letter full of Lies and BS.
It's time that he gets voted out and removed from his position with no term limit.
Instead of staying neutral and letting IUPA proceed with it's vote he inserts the FOPE along and beside the PBA to maintain all of the perks he's been getting.
The FOPE needs a slate of formidable candidates to challenge and unseat Marciano and stir things up for the betterment of it's membership.
The Sheriff needs to Go, the agency on the whole needs a new leader. The infighting within and on this blog alone shows a new Course of Direction is urgently needed.
The Governor needs to act swiftly and decisively in removing and restoring this Agency in order to bring back pride and integrity (I'm Not A Lamberti).
Just because he's a converted Democrat does not mean he's still Fit To Lead...
