    Contact Gov. Rick Scott’s Office

Those members of the public that wish to express their opinions about their confidence in Sheriff Israel and his abilities to keep their kids safe should contact Governor Scott’s Office, tel850) 488-7146. The law enforcement officers of Broward and the community need to come together and do something to rid this County of this Sheriff’s incompetence. Take action so that law enforcement can again be allowed to do their jobs.

After seeing Channel 4 news ..... this election is a joke. The ballots are total amateurish slips of paper that look you you are voting for high school prom king and queen. The ballot box is a cardboard box with a hole cut in the top. And you vote at Jeff Bell's desk. That box is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stuffed with fake ballots already. This vote has nothing to do with us. It is totally a macho stupid pissing match between Bell and Israel, nothing more.

How do we reject BOTH of them?????

That ballot box wasn’t stuffed at all. And we didn’t vote at Jeff’s desk. If you actually showed up to vote you would have known that. I had no problem voting. And as soon as I was finished I filled out an application and tried to drop PBA but Lahiff kept hanging up on me. What’s wrong with cardboard? Would it be more legit if it were wood or steel or would you complain about that too? I would’ve voted by whittling wood, tapping out Morse code, sign language, knitting a blanket, etc. quit being a hater. Read the posts, listen in roll call, talk to your shift, if you even have one and you would know that IUPA doesn’t need to nor would they rig this vote.

If you think that this is just a school issue; it's not. The practices of law enforcement that are currently in place have not allowed our school resource officers to arrest or even address the dangers that our kids have faced. Promise Program eligible kids were not the only problem. Rich white kids, honor students have also had a free pass to terrorize the vulnerable.
In addition, the negative response to the announcement of your plans to hold the vote is an outrage. The lives of our kids, your kids, you and your own families were in jeopardy on 2/14 and seemingly every day. We support your efforts, your IDEAS for CHANGE, your resistance to the recklessness of this ideology, your benefits for your physical and emotional health and your request for a substantial raise. You deserve it.
Under new leadership, we are done listening to politicians and are hopeful that you will work with us. Please recognize the importance of having the police in our schools and assist us in making efforts to elevate this position to one of respect.
All of this is true and the insulting "ploy' response has been received about as well as the Jake Tapper interview. If the police in Broward work in lawless communities where juveniles are untouchable they should be well paid and have a leader who values their lives enough to let them do their job and arrest the bad guys. What a disgrace.
