The sheriff calling in favors. Unfortunately for him the FOP has absolutely nothing to do with the situation.

Wrong FOP union. Letter on BSO facebook page is lodge 53, the jail's FOP union. The DLE Lt. FOP union is lodge 32. No letter from them.

A lot of us "pee-on" Law enforcement Officers see that SI needs to be removed immediately because we've also had to adhere to his programs, and we all know that it just doesn't work. Anything with little to no consequences will never work.
I think a vote of no confidence should also include the input from City and State Officers of this County to show solidarity against this bufoon.

The FOP union that released the Statement of support for hairplugs is the DOD Lts union. The letter was sent by their union leader, a DOD Lt. Edison Rickets He is an incompetent Ahole angling for a promotion, in the hopes of hairplugs sticking around. If you have ever met Rickets, you would know he is a loser who should have never made it past Deputy and barely even speaks English.

Why is IUPA the only union to allow the membership to vote on key issues like this? That letter from the PBA and FOP does not represent the members

It’s because the other unions “leadership” is just a cowardly self serving extension of the administration. We only have one real membership driven union. Do you know how rare it is to find courage and integrity in a union? IUPA is what ever other union claims to be, The Real Deal.

    Why vote for “no confidence”

When Israel became sheriff he talked a good game about how he was a real law enforcement officer and that he was going to be tough on crime and do away with the good old boy system. What a crock that turned out to be. The incompetent exorbitantly paid Ft Lauderdale hires are only here for a paycheck, along with Israel’s other useless friends and family hires.

The liberal policies that he has pushed since entering office have done the exact opposite of what he promised. He has done everything that he can do to discourage arrests. Look at the use of force policy. He changed police to require use of force investigations be conducted by supervisors in just about every instance where a deputy made an arrest. He knew that this would have a chilling effect that would lead to fewer arrests. Now, Deputies place their jobs and reputations on the line everytime that they make an arrest. Their files fill with use of force investigations that defense attorneys can use to imply that the deputies are problem deputies that are constantly under investigation. The atmosphere at the agency is bipolar. There is no longer a certainty that if you do the right thing you will be backed by the agency. In fact, Israel has made it clear that he has no problem throwing anyone under the bus even if they are 100 percent in the right. He only cares about how an incident is perceived by the minority community.

Deputies now feel that it is better to do nothing that to risk their careers enforcing the law.

The agency is sick, Parkland should never have happened and would never have happened had Israel not systematically destroyed the morale of the deputies and tied the hands of law enforcement. The Promise program, that took the ability and free will of the deputy to enforce established laws, allowed Cruz to go unchecked and is directly responsible for what happened at Stoneman. Israel is directly responsible for that program as well as all of the other failures. He will never take responsibility however. He has no conscience or honor and does not care if Broward becomes the next Detroit as long as he can profit from it.

Israel is a disgusting embarrassing disgrace to law enforcement. He needs to go. Vote no confidence and help start this agency on the road to recovery.
