I've worked here a long, long, long time. I've not seen one promotion, or transfer, that happened outside of politics/race/sexual orientation. Not one.

Same here. That's what kills morale and causes many good people to give up trying to get promoted. It's a useless exercise.

Most of the "pi$$ a$$ attitude(s)" are a result of deputies not getting what they put in.

Instead they've seen decade after decade of criminal lesbians getting promoted, the Chief's son getting promoted, "we needed a brother THIS TIME" getting the position, political transfers, "so and so was able to raise x amount of dollars for this cause" getting the desired position, and so on, and so on.

If you want to maintain credibility, please come up with a valid reason why over 90% of senior deputies on patrol are hard working white males...

Ummm because law enforcement is a male dominated profession and the Caucasian race is in the majority. BTW, You should work hard, it’s what you get paid for.

There are 21 sworn faces on our web page, 17 are white males. 17/21 equals 81%. Plenty get promoted, but you didn’t so those aren’t worthy. Add up all supervisors (I’ve done it) and it’s less than 5% of the agency as a whole. So should we promote and then demote people so everyone gets a shot or should we realize that not everyone who wants to get promoted will. Including plenty of very deserving people.

How come 99.99% of the Leo affairs forums from all different agencies have the same exact complaints? Oh I know, not only is there an HCSO conspiracy but ALL the agencies have banded together to form a secret society to ruin cops lives!!
