    Fort Lauderdale police chief’s wife ends jail term for shooting at him over affair

    "The Fort Lauderdale police chief's wife was released from jail early Thursday.

    Eleanor Adderley served 181 days of a nine-month sentence for shooting at her husband, Frank, over an affair he was having. She left the Broward County jail at 3:10 a.m."

    Fort Lauderdale police chief Adderley to step down, take job at Sheriff's Office

    "At that time Adderley retired, began drawing on his city pension that currently pays $6,511 each month. He has served as chief under a renewable two-year contract. The most recent contract pays him an annual salary of $174,304 and would have expired in February 2018, the city said.

    His new job will pay him $176,650, a sheriff's spokeswoman said."
