    Here’s what happened, basically:

    • Frank Bybee sued Tom Knight and made him look very bad in public. Here is the article on that: http://www.heraldtribune.com/article.../605192890/SH/
      .
    • A woman who has been Baker Acted multiple times for mental health issues said that Bybee tried to murder her, so Knight charged him with 17 crimes. Bybee made Knight look bad in public for a second time. Here is the article on that fiasco: http://www.heraldtribune.com/news/20...asnt-mentioned
      .
    • Carson Plank was accused by Knight of conspiring with Bybee to screw-up the case. Knight charged Plank with a misdemeanor. You can read it here: http://www.mysuncoast.com/news/local...06b16b74b.html
      .
    • Plank hired attorney Andrea Mogensen and pled not guilty to the misdemeanor, which made Knight look bad in public, so he charged Plank with a felony to try and force her to accept the misdemeanor. Plank said no dice.
      .
    • This story harkens back to a recent H-T article where former SAO prosecutor Elizabeth Loeffler said that it is common practice to charge defendants with higher crimes (felonies that cannot be proven) in order to force defendants to plea out to lower crimes (misdemeanors). You can read it here: http://www.heraldtribune.com/news/20...bout-superiors

Is Carson suing the Sheriff's office too? Will all the same deputies have to go through the same testimony again in the criminal case?

From what I’ve heard she’d be crazy to not sue.

    I'm with you on that.

If this Bybee circus had happened in California & Ms Plank found herself in a Ca. courtroom with a magnanimous Jerry Brown appointed judiciary on the bench, then if she sued, she would have a chance at having a chance of sueing successfully.

Her council Ms. Mogensen has her work cut out for her. Bybee was afforded fair jurors, hopefully she'll be judged by the same if it gets that far.
