Mike Scott look what your command staff is doing to this county, last month you stop paying over time and last several years you promoted and depletion of patrol

    Homicides thru the roof

Lee County is not a safe place to live

    "Then leave"

It is hard to believe we work with people like this and have command staff who think this way. Between the "then leave" tough guy and the retard who calls everyone "son," it's amazing we keep decent Deputies as long as we do. What a disgrace our so called leadership is.

So reactive policing can stop bad people from committing crime? Are the police that powerful and influential? Here is an idea. How about we actually have a system that when they are arrested and can be convicted with a willing SAO, they are kept away from society? It is not a manpower issue. We have one but an increase in homicides are only a correlation and not necessarily a causation. We need a judicial system that actually punishes those who are responsible for the majority of the major violent crimes. 30 years for selling 4k worth of Meth?? Really? Ok, drugs are bad mkay but come on!! How bout the pukes who rape and kill and constantly put society in a constant state of fear? Nope, 5 years or less and yer out to commit more and worse crimes.

    No Overtime for Police Work!!

So they decided no overtime to cover crime scenes, shift shortage, anything to do with patrol. They have paid this weekend two lieutenants, two sergeants and two deputies overtime to be involved in some torch run! I thought this was supposed to be a fund raiser!!! More poor decisions LCSO!

No OT was paid, it counts as their regular work days.

Another day, another homicide in Bonita. The crime rate is out of control due to mass poor promotions and inadequate patrol staffing. We have Captains and Lt's still pushing pointless traffic stops rather than targeting known violent criminals in their districts. What a failure on every level.

    Lee County deputy ratio

.All news media outlet will also be getting the word out to Lee County Citizen to Arm themselves with firearms for protection

    http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/CJSTC/Pu...SO-Ratios.aspx

Lee County Sheriff Office is the 2nd lowest in the state 1.01 Ratio Per 1000 (LE Only)

That 1.01 ratio is reduced dramatically when you take into account the outrageously high amount of LEO's assigned to useless positions agency wide. A public services division that solicits donations from gated communities. A highway unit that delivers mail and doesn't work the highway. A Bonita CP unit and District Captain that shake hands and kiss babies for Facebook picture opportunities. A top heavy command staff who pack a room for every press release and fail miserably at looking intimidating. I could go on forever, but why bother.

^ I agree with most of what you stated but Highway Interdiction has stopped a good amount of violent criminals. Just look at the amount of OIS involving Interdiction Units.
