Why can’t Knight get along with authority figures?

Knight can get along with people, but only if he has power over them, such as in a supervisory-subordinate relationship. However, Knight is unable to get along with other elected officials because they are not subordinate to him. Look at all the recent examples:
- Knight “bowed up” at the chief judge and refused to obey the judge’s lawful order
(it’s in the newspaper)
. - Knight threatened school board member Caroline Zucker
(it’s also in the newspaper)
. - Knight publicly insulted a school board member by saying:
“Shirley Brown can’t help herself: you can’t stop stupid”
(yep, it’s in the newspaper too)
We aren’t making this stuff up!!!! lol

If you are in fact a smart law enforcement officer you would understand what a conspiracy is. A person who agrees, conspires, combines, or confederates with another person or persons to commit any offense commits the offense of criminal conspiracy, ranked for purposes of sentencing as provided in subsection.
If Knight Robinson and Hoffman conspired to control any county commissioner that is a criminal act. Based on the text messages and the soon to be messages that were alleged to be sent to commissioners it might appear that there is a real conspiracy.
Now you...you seem like you have it all figured out. Collect your check hide under a tree and quit worrying about the Sheriff. I think that is great. Me and several others want to ensure that our government officials are held accountable if they commit unethical acts. I guess you would be ok with Hillary for president too? Maybe you would like to work for Mayor Marion Berry? Walking around like all is perfect. Sheeple you are one.

That's an excellent observation that I never thought about. I was only looking at it from the perspective of stupidity and poor judgement on Knight's part. However, as you noted: in addition to conspiring to get the budget to default (for whatever idiotic purposes Knight & Robinson had), they were also texting about "swinging" another commissioner to ensure that the school's budgetary noose was tightened. After 17 people were murdered in a school, why would Knight and Robinson want to cut funding for school safety? It's madness.

Thought so. "your not worth the oxygen" (in a little girl's sarcastic voice). Go hide under a tree and collect a paycheck and then go home. Matter fact do us all a favor and just go home before you get someone hurt. Lazy people that bury their head in the sand has always been the disease at this place. Thanks for explaining RANT. By the way how does it taste?

People in the school system are asking one question: "Is Knight for us or against us?" The H-T answered that question loud and clear when the published Knight's and Robinson's collusive texts between each other. They care only about themselves, their reputation, AND NOTHING ELSE.

Prior to the 17 murders at Parkland School, Knight had already decided to withdraw SROs (and their 50% funding) from the school system. Knight publicly blamed Todd Bowden as the reason for pulling out SRO 50% funding (never mind that Knight's reasoning does not make any sense). Anyway, after the school murders, when Knight publicly announced he was withdrawing SRO funding and support for Sarasota's school children (which was very bad timing on his part, duh!!!), then Shirley Brown told Knight in public that, "You should be doing more and not less." That's why Knight hates Shirley Brown. She spoke the caustic truth, which hurts Knight's reputation. After 17 murders, Knight decided to reduce school security.
Knight withdrew deputies/bailiffs from the courthouse because he felt it was too expensive. But then the chief judge was able to force Knight to reinstate deputies to protect our courthouses. However, due to current legal circumstances, the public is unable to force Knight to reinstate deputies/SROs to protect our schools. That's why the school board is creating their own internal police department. What good is the current elected sheriff (Knight) for school security? Nadda. Zip. None.
