It appears by the response on the NPCC FB page that numerous people read the front page article in the NP and Charlotte sun today. First and foremost we all know the sun is in the pocket of NPPD so no one expects bad press from them The reporter is an idiot and should have done her job instead of reporting what NPPD had to say. This was merely a public relations stunt which I believe backfired on them. Some of the highlights included the reporter getting the K9 handlers name wrong She named him as KB and not CW as it should have been, she did highlight the number of bites over the years, she did no background on CW and how he had to leave VPD with his dog and being a friend and training with KB, KB got him a job with NPPD, which then he bi passed all protocol and became a K9 handler right away. She failed to mention how there was at one time 5 dogs in NPPD. One handler was arrested for domestic violence, one quit after being accused of inappropriate relationship with minor, KB had his dog removed from service, he kept the dog ,but was then assigned as K9 supervisor and now is a detective, Screw up move up. In this article Interim Chief Morales is quoted as one bite in 2017 . This is reference in the video attached. Interim Chief is quoted as saying this suspect had excited delirium, obviously our under educated acting chief again doesn't know what he is talking about. I have witnessed EXD as it is called, several times and this suspect was no where near that. Research EXD and you will learn, its acting in a manner of severe aggression, agitation and possessing incredible strength, with the likely result of death due to the extreme heightened aggression and heartbeat. Most of EXD is contributed to PCP use,the guy in the video showed none of this, in fact look at the officers, yes the one with the taser is KB and how they leisurely handle the suspect. The suspect falls on the ground, CW gets on him, KB stands still, CW does not cuff him, but them gets up walks over to his SUV gets his dog, walks the dog back to the suspect and has the dog bite the suspect while he is still lying on the ground. If this suspect had EXD he would have kicked or attempted to kick both their a$$ES, where was the back up???? if he had EXD as Capt M states they would have need them. What we have here is simple, our interim chief either does not know what he is talking about or he is mis stating the facts to cover their a$$es and from a lawsuit. Either way he should have never discussed this case since proceedings are still pending. The big reason for the drop in bites is simple, KB no longer has a dog and the number of dogs was reduced from 5 to two. This propaganda is exactly why we need a new chief from the outside, the interim chief is just a clone of KV, lie, mis state the facts and we will believe him. He is one of the good old boys, in fact he promoted KB to detective and KL, who is also on video breaking an old mans arm got promoted to Detective and shortly after made Detective Sergeant. Screw up move up in the NPPD, hey maybe you can make Chief, worked for KV and now CM !!!!!!!! The facts don't lie.

This video is horrible. Why isn't the Department of Justice looking into this case or even FDLE? Veteran cops will tell you this is inappropriate. Poor tactics, probably poor training and criminal assault utilizing a K-9. This K-9 Officer was reckless and would have been fired had there been good leadership in place. To defend this action is laughable. The City will write a check....again. Lear should have already hired a chief who would have come in and put CM in the corner where he belongs......

Not to mention the House was raided for the home security footage which was viewed by nppd and the hard drive does not work anymore .. no copies were made after viewing the tapes and no comment of what was watched ? Sounds like a coverup .. what a joke !!!! I bed Jared lemay had excited delirium as well that’s why he settled out of court for 250 thousand dollars after they mauled him with the k9 on the COME GET YOUR BITE case .. what a ****ing joke
