    150 Recruits; No Raises

    With 150 Recruits in the Academy right now, don’t expect any competitive pay raise.

    Legislators see this and say, “why does FHP need a pay raise? They have people eager to work for them with the current salary.”

    They don’t care that more than half of those Recruits will leave in 2 years or less. It is what it is people.

    Now get out there and write some good tickets!

    Your getting a big raise! What is your issue dude. Work some OT and live within your means. Your salary is just fine.

    I don't see the problem? Those 150 will bring in a ton of dough, son!

    Really? Another thread about pay raises. This is getting old. Come to terms with the animal that is FHP. Pay is what it is. Go to a PD if you are concerned about pay. Or are you scared?

    FHP is great for a free ride for paid training and certification though.

    Probably half of them if not more just want the free ride to certification and will apply with SO and PD as soon as possible. I cannot think of any other State where dozens of folks apply with the State's LE agency just to get a free ride and gtfo asap!
