Partially true,

All but two of the NW officers were reinstated, most of the officers relieved had nothing to do with the incident, one arrived after it was over. When they got reinstated, two of them were transferred (detached) temporarily to POS. But that was rescinded and they asked for district people to volunteer, which two did.
