And no DUI is not that serious of a crime its an FING Misdemeanor.. I know you got put in your locker in high school but come on man let the past go.. You make a whopping 38k a year now and finally moved out of your moms garage!!
And that's the reason why you all get locked up, cause you think stuff like this is minor, as a traffic agency for us this is a big no no. You are telling me that as long as the road is clear is ok, you can shoot a gun in the air as long as no other cars are preset, idiot. . First, fhp can put the driver behind the wheel since only him has that car assigned to him. They can also show who was the last one who used the car radio and gps. Hopefully this guy resigns b4 they fire him. No place for Troopers of this kind in FHP.

You are aware that DUI isn't always a Misdemeanor. I agree with you in the since that speeding isn't a capital crime as some people in this agency believe but I take DUI pretty serious. Not to mention I'm not going to lose my job because a deputy or a Trooper or anyone else for that matter can't call a taxi.

He's brand new, still on probation. He's a goner for sure.

Even if that trooper wasn't. The trooper will be promoted but when you mess up. You get promoted.

The "Patrol" is in its place, the public servant class, everyone has one

I'm sorry, but no place in this patrol for that stupidity.
Realize that no one was injured. It surprises me to read of all the jelousy and anger. This "is" your job, serving others.
When you took this job, you realized that your station in life would be where it is, as a uniformed referee or minder to society while those who work and create wealth enjoy it. Alligator Alley is not your soverign territory, some people pay more in property tax than you earn in a whole year. Be grateful you have good jobs. I cannot beleive my eyes reading these blogs. What do you people do all day, sit in an office and spend time here? I cannot wait to write a letter to your Commander showing him this.

    That’s right. Do your job!
Serve the public. Arrest all three drivers. Endangering the public...

Probably two or three years old and the Trooper is with another agency now.
