    Parkland- FDLE failed us!

FDLE has rode under the radar for not being responsible for what happened in Parkland, but some of us have not ignored that FDLE should have been front and center on preventing this domestic terror event in Florida. All of the money and focus that FDLE has, new Agents, and supposedly being "front and center" on counter terror in Florida.. only to be hiding from the responsibility of what happened.

Why didn't FDLE have this intelligence that everyone else seemed to have? Or did they? Seems like FDLE is being quiet and no one is realizing that FDLE dropped the ball.

With looking at the Pulse event, it appears that FDLE just likes to sit back and then say they did everything they could.. well this is not acceptable here! We have 17 dead and no where do we see an explanation from FDLE about where they were!

FACT: FDLE has been involved with domestic and international terror investigations, intelligence, and has propagated it's position in preventing terror in Florida for decades.

FACT: FDLE has squads of "Regional Domestic Security Task Forces" (RDSTF's) which sole purpose is to prevent, investigate, and identify individuals or organizations that are of concern that may, will, or are planning to commit terror acts in the state of Florida. These RDSTF's have been in place since at least 2002 (after 9/11/01).

FACT: FDLE has participated in the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF's) since at least 2002 (after 9/11/01 sometime). FDLE shares squad space, reviews intelligence that is called into the FBI, and conducts it own investigations as deemed necessary.

FACT: Local Law Enforcement detectives, such as Local Sheriff's Office Detectives, local PD detectives, and other Agencies are members of the RDSTF and JTTF, and intel would and should be shared amongst Agencies- IF FDLE IS DOING THEIR JOB!!

FACT: Over a year ago, the commissioner of FDLE strongly pushed forward the hiring of 46 Agents to the tune of $5.8 MILLION because of the Pulse attack. FDLE was granted more Terror positions and money.

So, in conclusion, FDLE FAILED the State of Florida!! If you want to pretend that FDLE had nothing to do with this failure then you are obviously an FDLE employee.

There WILL be public records going forward, but the question is, will FDLE comply with them or keep the records closed (if they exist) based on "ongoing intelligence" B.S.?

    More to come....

Why didn't FDLE do more? Here's a run down of their domestic security and claims of being a LEADER in counter terror!

    http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/About-Us/About-Us.aspx

    ABOUT FDLE:

FDLE’s Office of Domestic Security works with federal, state, and local officials to prepare for, prevent, protect, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism that affect the state. Seven Regional Domestic Security Task Forces (RDSTF) are strategically located around the state and are comprised of representatives from first responders from fire/rescue, emergency management, public health and hospitals, as well as law enforcement. The task forces also work in partnership with schools, businesses and private industries. The Florida Domestic Security Strategy is the blueprint or plan by which domestic security activities and initiatives are organized and executed in Florida.

The above sounds so very good when presenting to get more money and positions for the Agency, but where the hell has FDLE been during the past two very large attacks within the State of Florida?

Should we call for Swearingen's resignation?

How much domestic security money has been thrown at information sharing databases? What are those used for?

Be sure to go back to 2001 ask for domestic security positions provided and what those positions work on today, majority were diverted to other crimes. But nobody's looking so they simply asked for 46 more.

So FDLE is a counter-terror leader, yet when things happen, they seem to come out of things smelling like roses by flying under the radar.

If something happens locally, then it's on the S.O. and/or the FBI! But FDLE is every bit responsible and by it's own claims is a counter-terror leader in the state of Florida!

WE NEED TO HOLD FDLE ACCOUNTABLE. They want the money, positions, have the time, resources, and special training, yet DO NOTHING to protect the citizens of Florida when it comes to attacks like this.

I have heard a few news agencies are picking this up, so lets see if there's some accountability.

Assigned to Theft Ring cases with endless hours, tons of money spent, and ridiculous resources used! And in the end, most of them end up with no prosecution.

Why doesn't Swearingen tell the State of Florida about that?
