Actually, that exact quote was crossing my mind yesterday. It's ironic that you posted it. Anyway, the comments section from an H-T article are equally interesting.

Does anyone else see problems with the following issues in Knight's publicized plan:
*Hire old retirees (what's the age limit?)
    *Put them in schools
    *Put them in plain clothes
*Allow them to carry their privately owned guns in their pockets
    *Give them NO arrest authority

If a fight breaks out between two unarmed strapping 17 year old teenagers, in the presence of an old retiree with a gun (who has NO arrest authority), then what is the retiree's responsibility? If the old man intervenes, then the strapping fighters could easily overpower him, and take away his gun: now there is a bigger problem (think liability because Knight created the rules surrounding this scenario).

Knight also said that armed part-time retirees would be like "sky marshals." However, let's examine Knight's statement more closely and compare it with reality:
*Federal "Sky Marshals" are plain-clothed and are not known, identified or recognized by anyone, and they have arrest authority.
*Most school shooters are current or former students, and they know everyone already.
*School marshals [sic] would be known, identified and recognized by all the kids, to include the shooters.

    It's kooky.

    Tourette’s syndrome

Facial tics and body spasms are caused by a variety of different disorders. Ironically, Tourette’s syndrome is classified in the same family of disorders. That would explain the angry outbursts and cursings (the camera is never where you need it to be, to pick up that stuff). But ironically, it's interesting that the cameraman was able to catch Knight's body spasm and facial tic. If the video were SSO property, then Knight would have ordered the "creative media specialists" to edit toe spasms out. LOL

The newspaper said the Florida governor opposes Knight's plan to change the law to arm teachers with CCWs. Why?
