Parkland Shooting- Where was FDLE's Counter-terror squad?

Why didn't FDLE investigate this guy when there were multiple calls into investigative bureau's regarding the shooter, Nikolas Cruz? Certainly FDLE has a ton of resources with all these new counter-terror hires and the huge commitment to prevent things of this nature?

FDLE requested $5.8 Million to hire 46 new Special Agents for Counter-terror efforts... so where is the state's payout? There appeared to be plenty of intel regarding Cruz as a categorical risk to the state for a domestic terrorism act!

And let's not discount FDLE's previous "commitment" to counter-terror, with Task Force Agents on the Joint Terrorism Task forces and Domestic Security Task Forces, all with agents embedded into Federal task forces to assist and conduct investigations.

Seems like a failure for FDLE! Are they just focused on internal drama (read these forums!) and do they really have a full commitment to terror investigations?

It's about getting the money and positions, period.

I'd bet if you did an audit of how "terrorism" money was used towards actual terror cases and not "unspecified intel" the press and legislature would be appalled.

Ironic that Gov. Rick Scott is calling for the FBI Director to resign, but he's not calling out FDLE and his buddy Rick Swearingen! This happened in Florida and where was our State Terror squad!!

Scenario 1- FDLE failed to discover the intel and didn't/couldn't respond = FAIL!!!

Scenario 2- FDLE had the intel but didn't follow through = FAIL!!!

What is the State's payout for all this money and Agents going to the FDLE? I've seen the news articles with the FDLE commissioner saying they needed these Agents and money, well they have it! Now let's see them secure our State against mass killings!
