Fill out the who/what/where/when/why, give them their copy, and order them to report to 419 Pierce St. If they fail to report, the SAO issues a summons/FTA capias. If they report, but aren't eligible, the SAO gives them a court date. No CRA, no report, no bullshit. They want to avoid them having a record, right? People's records in RMS are a mile long AND they are public record. You can be diverted all you want and still have a public record as a thief in the HCSO records system.

Now thats good thinking. A simple solution. Way back in the day, many misdemeanor arrests like shop lifts were stand alone CRA’s. RMS is a data entry secretarial nightmare. We need to start streamlining instead on this insane mission of gathering everyones information. If RMS is that important, then have secretaries transfer the info from our one page diversion form into RMS. How about let us be cops again.
