Merge SO and FHP together and we will have the Florida State Police (FSP).

Merge FHP and FDLE, raise the pay and hiring standards THEN yo would have State Police.

You are right about the national thing thats dumb. But how about instead of 67 over paid agency heads, swat teams, bomb teams, and so on we do like Alaska and Connecticut and get rid of county government including the Sheriff. I love how you people think FHP is whats dragging Florida down. Abolish county government and give all that money back to the people and the state. This isnt the old west we dont need this extra layer of government.

You do realize a majority of the city and SO in this state only require a high school diploma or ged with academy certificate, right?
