    Back to Basics

Give me a candidate who wishes to serve his/her constituents by finding a way to best fulfill their obligations to enforce and uphold the laws of the State of Florida. When a candidate starts mentioning pretty words like "community oriented policing" and identifies as a democrat, red flags immediately go up. Especially when there is the thinly-veiled innuendo that somehow the street cops are to blame for not being more touchy-feely. The best way to serve the public is to make your priority law enforcement, not touchy-feely programs that have historically been proven to be ineffective and ultimately destructive to the law enforcement function. If the citizens don't like the direction their Sheriff is taking they have their constitutional right to vote him or her out of office. Progressives love providing bread and circuses to keep the masses distracted.

Like the Juvenile Arrest Avoidance Program, Delinquent Act Citation, Adult Pre-Arrest Diversion, and the deputies at the Boys and Girls Clubs?

You realize TPD participates in the programs you complain about right? Despite their union, the street cops at TPD feel forgotten and hate doing the documentation the evil administration makes them do. Just like at HCSO. Just like every agency in America.

Well, maybe a front lines down to earth guy is what we need. Not some fancy politician that looks great on paper only.

YES!!! All the people are talking about how Gary doesn’t have the 9000 signatures needed to get on the actual ballot but they’re going to eat crow when he pays up the $10k fee instead of getting signatures. Word on the street is his mom is going to loan him the money and then WATCH OUT!!!

The first thing Gary should do is institute a new rule that the sheriff will be chosen by seeing who has made the most arrests so everyone knows the sheriff is a front lines leader. That way the sheriff will be best equipped to handle the county commission and personnel, budget, etc.
