There was a time when people who failed to respond to call were terminated. Done! Theses days, things seem a little different. Traffic Homicicde Detective Orlando Sosa had Sunday/Monday off but he was going through a divorce after his wife, and mother of his three children, was caught having an affair. Seems that he decided to not show up work AT ALL on Sundays so he could hang out with the mistress.
PCB surveillance proved is willingness to availed going to work and thus he was suspended. But, as history as shown when it takes the department this long to act, its a clear indication that a cover up is underway. So, whenever Sosa gets the slap on the wrist, we should remember this case to use as precedent setting for future cases, to include a lesser offense of skipping out on a call. Skipping out on work is theft of taxpayers monies and when miami new times gets this story, it will add additional pressure on JP. He’s already under fire for not securing the black community. Add that he does nothing to someone who,doesn’t even show up to,work will,only highlight his weakness as a director

I've known Sosa for many years, and he truly is one of the good guys. Judging by the grammar of some of you criticizing him, would lead me to think that you're not very bright. Scary thought to think someone would let you handle a firearm. As for the criticism of the man, on a thread no less, clearly proves you lack the courage to say something face to face. I will lose sleep at night knowing that there is a spineless, gun wielding, officer of the law who doesn't know how to read if the safety of his firearm is on or off. Thanks for the nightmares guy.
