Interested in TIAPD
I currently work for a Sheriff's Office in a neighboring county and am seriously considering giving TIAPD a go. I've heard that under Sireci things for the TIAPD weren't too good. Now with your new leadership, how are things now?

Remnants of Sireci Corruoption still excist
A young girl with an alleged mental disability is at the wrong airport, but instead of assistance such as a ride to the other airport or allowed to stay overnight and furnished food, she is allegedly trespassed and dropped off at the IHOP restaurant on city property. She then decides to walk across the Howard Franklin Bridge in order to get to the correct airport. Instead she is struck by a car on this dangerous bridge and dies. The family is from out of state and poor. They have no idea that there is negligence on behalf of the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, so a multi million dollar lawsuit is never filed. Janet Zink gets on tv and says this was just a mistake by someone working at the airport! What a crock and coverup! Although the main guy of this regime, Paul Sireci is gone, there are still others that have not seen justice. Hopefully one day Janet Zink and others who neglected to investigate the tragic death of Lucindi Lane will be prosecuted. Until then, I would skeptical about this police agency. Especially since there are others that came on board via the Sireci/Durkin good ole boy system.

Justice
Perhaps that blogger meant that Zink, Sireci, and the rest of them were all culpable. After reviewing this story it is obvious this girl should not have died. Shame on the people that let this happen and those that deflected blame for their own interests.
