You asked, so here are a few of the bad things he has done:

1-He bypassed more qualified candidates to get the job for political reasons.
2-All he has ever cared about is getting promoted so he has never been in any unit long enough to learn this job.
3-Since he was promoted he has destroyed major units intended to fight crime.
4-he was very willing to hand our homicide investigations to FDLE.
5-he was very willing to place bodcams around our necks.
6-he was also willing to decriminalize marihuana.
7-he has promoted and assigned to units equally unfit individuals.
8-his hip hop dancing and push up competitions in front of HQ are legendary.
9-his teary eye pleas and hissy fits are an embarassment.
10-his sugar daddy mayor has him wrapped around the finger.

And worst of all, he has betrayed every man and woman who ever wore this uniform. By the way, a uniform he is unfit to wear.

Accurate as **** but he's the worst director MDPD has ever had, not just of our generation. He's setting the bar really high so it'll be hard for a future director to be this damn incompetent.

Even though this breaking news is great and long time coming it absolutely demonstrates the unfit administration who is running this place not just now but ever since Mayor Gimenez took office. The illumination of proactive squads from doing police work to get and stop felons from possessing guns and commuting crimes starts with traffic stops most of the time. Yet here we see what this Mayor and so called Police administration are letting roam the streets shooting at civilians and police as we just saw. This citation issue didn’t just start, it’s been going on for over 2 years now, no tickets issue has plagued us for quite some time so don’t be fooled by this exposure in the Herald. I am guessing they decided to run this story NOW just to get that electric ticket program sped up and heavily funded to who ever is going to make the $$$$ on it. Yes push the buttons so the commission will be force down to dish out more cash for a program that someone just invented. Yes as you read they even admit the program ain’t working, just like the new super dipper thiny tablet program they sent out that was a disaster. Now they of course decided they go with this ticket program which wasn’t even created while having so many other working chooses like the one the Motor units have. Yes the ones the Motor units use have been out for years, they are quick, easy, and most of all SAFE!! But we see that our safety or that of the good citizens of Miami Dade are not the Mayors or Directors priority. They can care less!! And thats been obvious from the get go, only thing they cared about is wasting more money on friends and special interest. And John this is why your out of the PBA, you should of been yelling about this for the last 2 yearsand yet you said nothing, kept quiet and let everything be just like the Camara situation, you were a fraud, tool, and now your gone. Hopefully this Mayor and Director will go after this and everything else they have let be.

The best he can? That is exactly the point. Being “fair and honest”, the best he can is not good enough because he is the wrong person for the job. He is not qualified and cannot fill 1/4 of the shoes of ANY of the directors before him. He is a sensitive, egotistic, nervous little man with a limited vocabulary who knows it all.

What has he done? Look at the command staff and then try to explain that with a straight face. And then go speak to
The actual people he promoted and ask THEM what they think of him, or if they are allowed to do their jobs. He has surrounded himself with his friends (many of which don’t respect him and speak about him behind his back). He has destroyed the morale of the entire department.He has shown time and time again that he does not support officers involved in incidents. He is the first director in our history who ROD’s immediately and asks questions later. He works solely on emotion because he does not have the ability to act professionally, and he definitely doesn’t not know how to handle emergency incidents.

We have nothing against the guy personally, but he is the worst director in our generation and I’m afraid if FR is next, it will be the exact same thing. These kids just don’t even have the ability to speak without looking like amateurs. It is actually embarrassing to see in person. Every time they come out to the districts, it’s the same 4 guys and the same old routine, the same old speech, the same old smirk.

At major scenes and events, it’s also the same. The entire command staff does not respect him. He is not a real director and does not carry himself like the others who actually had experience, power, and clout. You can look at him in the eyes and watch his mannerisms and realize that there is no confidence in there. He knows on the inside that he doesn’t have it so he stays away from everyone else in the command staff and is only ever seen with his group of a$$ki$$ers.

Agreed, but the poster wants to basically say that this director "can't fill 1/4 of the shoes of any previous director . Just wanted to point out the obvious to them. Sorry to say they all sucked in their own way!!!

They have strong points and weak points and Ill admit the current doesn't appear to have any strong points other than his 80's ridiculous dancing that made this whole agency look bad to the country. And even that isn't a strong point!
