so if a police applicant had a few citations, they WILL get disqualified for employment at MBPD ........... but if you are from out of the region and not certified by FDLE, and are being sued and have a list of formal complaints filed against you and lawsuits for.millions of.dollars. You are correct ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ as Florida is a right to work state , applicants who were disqualified for much less can file suit , claiming this violated their rights and add a negative retention issue. If anyone who did not get hired finds out about this , they have a great employment law case.

What a joke. So the Chief was hired with multiple lawsuits. He changes the policy prohibiting applicants being hired who are named in lawsuits. And now he announces he’s hiring this guy disregarding the policy that HE created.
