We can thank Larry Lawrence for that. Idiot said we had crashes holding and not to send any Troopers. Don’t worry about the people dying and agencies requesting immediate assistance, go work that short form that’s been holding for 5 hours. Guy is a joke...and what does the Patrol do? Promote him to LT into OIG. Perfect right?

I've had my rifle out a few times, I'd be upset if I needed it and didn't have it. It's best to have it and not need it. So for all the troopers who want one go get a personal rifle (write-off) on the list and qualify it next year 2018. They are reasonably priced now.

The problem began with FHP forcing people to have an issued patrol rifle that they don't want to have. The patrol rifle should be issued to troopers interested in this additional weapon. Those troopers would definitely take better care of the rifles, than the ones that want nothing to do with it.
