Because he has an extreme spectrum personality and no empathy. That’s what they like. They think that’s the same as leadership.

Whoever it will be has to fit in and be well liked by the rest of the group of majors too. They can’t just go for a middle of the road reasonable, common sense person. That would be too easy.

It’s not Tierney or Cardwell. They both have too much baggage and that’s one thing Troop H doesn’t need. We’ve already got the disgraced Hildreth and the lazy Norris. Whoever is crowned Major has to be able to supervise those two, and you have to wonder if the coronation is being stalled so they can relocate those two and give the new major a chance.
