Questions about working for Florida DOC

I'm currently employed with Georgia DOC and have been almost 9 years. I'm considering applying to FL DOC and doing the equivalency of training that would be necessary. I'm just wondering how is it working for FL DOC? I know the starting pay with FL is about $3k more than what I'm currently making. If anyone's wondering why I'd consider working in FL since I live in GA, I'm near Thomasville (if you know where that is) and so I'm about 35 minutes from Tallahassee and I currently drive 40 minutes to work already, so I figure what the hell. Just any information would be appreciated.

Stay where you are. FDOC is a joke. None of you work experience counts. You would need to attend the same academy and complete the same hours as a person who is flipping burgers prior to FDOC employment. This place is a joke. We are social workers with some thinking they are rambo. Stay in Georgia.
