Cant see the Forrest for the trees. Sheriff Knight is in a great position. The Courts wil rule like it always does and the Sheriff can tell. Steube " Hey I tried. So Sorry its out of my hands. " Sheriff Knight already has the man power. He is playing the political hand and in the end he will have done all he could. Therefore It will be a win win for him. You people are so caught up in your own agendas you have missed the missed the big picture.

The Chief Judge had a legal opportunity to throw Knight in jail for contempt of court, but he let Knight slip through the cracks by not putting him in jail. And now, if Knight is able legally put down the judges, then Knight will be proven to be 100% politically unstoppable. Unfortunately, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Knight subsequently needs to be legally checkmated and put in his political place. However, the jury is still out on that one. When and what will the appellate court rule?

You are trying to make this a big deal and it is not. Courts rule on disputes all the time, and the Sheriff with comply if the Court orders him to. If you are so upset by what the Sheriff does leave. You post the same stuff over and over and everyone know the information, move on. Why not find something positive to post about? I am sure after this you will turn it around and cut and past the same stuff over again. you are a sad sad person.

This isn't a garden variety dispute. Whether you like it or not, this is an EXTREMELY unusual case. In fact, Knight's public defiance of the chief judge almost landed him in jail for "contempt of court." Can you name one other Florida sheriff who publicly defied a court order from a chief judge? Nope, you can't. If the judge had put Knight in our own jail, then that would have been even bigger news, but the judge chose not to do that, probably as a professional courtesy. Anybody else would have been arrested. Knight used his one (1) get out of jail card free.
Kurt, you can bet your bottom dollar that Knight will obey the appeals court. If Knight defies the court for a second time, then he will most certainly be arrested for contempt of court. Knight will not risk a publicized arrest for disobedience to the court.
