That's correct the bottom line is that they are trying to become part time they want all the benefits without the negative part is like only eating cake and not the nasty food, they want to only work easy off duties without having to patrol or make any arrest or deal with the reality of police work let me just have the easy stuff. What will be next take home cars to go to the off duties , let's all be part time and only do off duties with no stress or responsibilities

I think it’s great. Let them work. Soon they will have to wear body worn cameras too. One of them will do something that will get their pension forfeited. Another one will get injured and realize that they don’t get workman’s comp. City will 07 whole program when one of the scammers tries to file a heart bill, injury, or working out of class claim.

You guys are bunch of fools.

First rookies the reserve officers don't need supervision. They been doing police work before you were even born.
Llanes can change the policy with a stroke of the pen
They will never lose their pension cause they are retired.
They can't claim disability or workman comp cause they are retired
They have no problem wearing body cameras

Typical idiot MPD rookie. Shoots his mouth off before knowing the facts. Hey sh!tbird, once you get your pension they can't take it away if something happens working off-duty. Under the law, you are listed as reserve/parttime and legally able to work off-duties. Worried about not enough off-duties because you are living above your means? Sounds like it.

Another moron heard from yes reserve are covered by workers comp if they are injured for the injuries and treatment. they just can't go out or convert their current pension to a disability pension. Educate yourself before you speak don't be a dummy and speak like Lt. Cook

Sir ,is not about someone taking your pension away is about someone filing a law sue in which you will have to pay everything you have, now, is it worth it after thirty years , that is for you to answer . personally I don't care how much you work if you want to spend the few years you have left directing traffic is your choice.

The average lifespan for a retired officer is 66 years or 10.6 years after retirement for a regular person is 76. Go and direct traffic if that's what you want ,is up to you
