School - Schools bend over backwards for kids now a days. They cater to their every need. Teachers are held hostage with kids who do not care, do not listen and do not want to learn. That started at home, the teacher can only do so much. And Pinellas County Schools allow THREE misdemeanors before they take any true action, if they ever do at all!!!

Home - There are so many programs in Pinellas County that there is almost no true poverty. There are free food programs, free clothes programs, free Thanksgiving Day food programs. free Christmas presents (like whatever they want the get) programs, free back to school giveaway programs, free YMCA, free PAL, free or reduced rent housing and apartment programs, free, free, free, free. It boggles the mind but there are TONS of programs. There should be shame in needing these programs, there is no shame at all. They believe they are entitled to it.

Crime - Most agencies have juvenile diversion programs in addition to what the schools do. They get multiple strikes before any consequences happen. If they ever get past all of the diversion programs the worse they get is 21 days in JDC. And JDC is a joke, run by camp counselors who don't do anything. By the time they have gotten into multiple felony convictions they are direct filed as adults and hit the real jail.

Reality - These kids don't care about life, your property, your safety, or right or wrong. They have no parent to teach them this. They have parents who don't care their kid is out after nine o'clock let alone at three am. So if there are no consequences for years, what do they care? They're not getting rich off what they steal and they are not chopping cars. They don't fence car stereos or find treasure in all the cars they break into. They find another cool ride and drive until the wheels fall off. They are having fun living the thug life being gangsters. Sometimes they get what they ask for.

You want that to stop? Stop making excuses for out of control black kids. Stop blaming the police for what out of control black kids do. Stop blaming society for what out of control black kids do. Start blaming them for what they do. Stop excusing it all because they are black. That excuse doesn't work in 2017.
OK... but you didn't answer the question. What would you suggest is the solution to that much hopelessness?

1 - You can stop making excuses for criminal behavior.
2 - Their parents can start acting like parents, not just after they are dead.
3 - The court system could grow a sack and actually punish criminal juveniles.
4 - White guilt gets abolished, none of us owned slaves, none of them were slaves, stop making excuses.
    5 - Stop stealing cars.
6 - Stop burglarizing homes and cars.
7 - Stop glamorizing "Thug Life" and being a gangster (Black Entertainers, Rappers and Athletes)
8 - Stop being such a ***** and shedding tear for what you THINK is hopelessness. It's not hopelessness, it's out of control, unchecked marauding thugs with no fear of the police, the courts, the schools, or the consequences.

Go hug a thug, that works great!! Did you even read all of those options they have or are you just an excuse making white liberal who thinks if the police stopped chasing them that it would all just go away? Clearly you are an ignorant liberal Caucasian with an anti-police agenda.

What do you suggest for the "hopelessness"???? Cry them a river? Give them more free shit? Lower the academic standards for them again (common core)? How about more chances to commit crime without consequences? Enlighten us with your great ideas, please, I can't wait.

Any responsible person having children would first determine if they can financially support raising them. Yes, accidental pregnancies occur. When this happens to women in these poor communities, we as a society step in, and through our taxes provide monies for food, shelter, and many other forms of assistance to this mother and her child. Now, there are several non profits, churches, and every health dept in every County in every State, that provide free of charge, pregnancy prevention contraceptives. When you have multiple children, fathered by multiple men, its no longer a accidental thing. What has happened in the Black Community more so than any other, is the Govt assistance by having multiple children, is no longer a safety net, but has morphed into a lower middle class lifestyle for doing nothing more than having children. These mothers are usually not well educated, and are still partying like they never had these kids. Often, monies are spent by the mother on herself, and when these kids get old enough to hang in the neighborhood, they do, without any adult supervision. All these mothers have to do is say they don't know who the father is, or the father has abandoned them to get this govt assistance. The fathers are usually just sperm donors. Liberals would have you think that these fathers are in prison or dead. This is not true. Nine out of ten black children born in St.Pete are to unwed mothers, this leads the State. When white liberal politicians only pander for votes, and the black politicians refuse to look within their race and critique there own, this will continue. Black on Black crime is out of control in every city that has a significant black population. This is now the second full generation that this has been occurring. Blacks that were raising children in the 60,s usually worked hard in manual labor jobs that lived in these poor communities. They also were more religious, more family oriented, These blacks stepped up to help the first generation of these welfare babies but they are dwindling. Now grandmothers from the first welfare generation, who could not raise their own children, are of little assistance to the mothers of this second generation. Yet, despite this, their are poor mothers in these neighborhoods that manage to raise their children despite the hardships. How do they do it? By staying involved in every aspect of their childs life. Motherhood is more than just giving birth, and getting a check. This is the core of the problem, and no one has the balls to address it.

There is a difference between breaking into cars and actually stealing them and basically taunting police intoi chasing them.. (If some black kids got caught just breaking into cars, this wouldn't be news worthy either.) If three white kids died in a stolen car crash, you bet your ass the media would be all over the story.)

ALL of those comments are directed at the parents. I get it. But the kids didn't pick those parents, their jobless neighborhood, their crappy school. the people they live near. Is it right to blame the kids for being brought into that environment? How do you address the actual kids dropped into the middle of the mess?

    Their jobless neighborhood?

There are plenty of jobs in St. Pete. In fact there are more jobs in St. Pete than anywhere in Pinellas County. Maybe you are unaware that Section 8 housing, EBT Cards and unemployment is easier than working, it doesn't mean there are no jobs.

    Their crappy schools?

There are more public and private schools in St. Petersburg than anywhere in Pinellas County. Some of the public schools are the highest rated in the county as well. And what about SPC Midtown and USF Bayboro Campus? What about all of the private colleges and PTEC's St. Pete Campus? Maybe you think they should just show up and get a 4.0 for attendance alone?

    The people they live near?

So are you inferring that all blacks in St. Pete are criminals? Because that is racist, prejudice and ignorant. St. Pete has wonderful families living in South St. Pete. A small percentage practices crime for a living.

    Blaming the kids?

That's where we get back to the parents. They are first to blame. They have to set a foundation for the children at an early age. If that opportunity gets wasted then it is an uphill battle that never may be won. But the kids know right from wrong, otherwise why run from the police? Except for the small percentage with real mental health issues, they know right from wrong. And ADD, ADHD and all the other D's don't mean they don't know right from wrong.

Do you blame everyone but Nick Lindsey for killing a cop? The courts didn't, they sent his ass to prison and rightfully so.

There are kids who come from this filth who are successful. It's called pride, discipline, drive and purpose. Liberals like you will always blame their environment, their race, the police, the schools, the courts and everyone else but the criminal.

Its not my job to protect them from their own stupid criminal actions. Its my job to protect everyone else from these animals. Now go wave a sign with the Uruhus and call the deputies liars with their stupid parents.

WHERE THE **** WERE YOU AND THOSE ASSHOLE PARENTS WHEN THESE KIDS WERE OUT AT 4AM IN STOLEN CARS BURGLARIZING CARS????? WHY WEREN'T ANY OF THEM CALLED IN AS MISSING OR RUNAWAYS. BECAUSE THE ASSHOLE PARENTS DON'T ****ING CARE!!!!

Oh well, three less criminals for the courts to handle for the next thirty years.

APADing is not for violent or career criminal felons, it is for petty crimes. Apples to oranges.

    Start with:

    1. Education - Go to school to learn something.
    2. Work - Get a job AND KEEP IT. Maybe you can learn a trade or learn a work ethic, or something like that.
    3. Stay out of jail - Stop smoking dope and stealing. It goes a long way to helping you accomplish #2.

You are also ignoring the blacks that have stayed out of trouble and gotten a education are doing better in society than any other demographic. They enjoy preferential hiring, promotions, admissions to colleges etc. See its not a white thing, its what it takes to function in society and be successful. This formula is color blind.
