So it looks like Matt Powell has been put out to pasture and his replacement (Casale) is a good guy. It's about damn time! Powell has been at West for too many years and his latest double-dipping scandal, that he actually should have been nailed for YEARS EARLIER, has only spotlighted his deceitfulness and con game. Why isn't he in Jail like Crone? What is the difference between the two crimes?

Casale is a good guy and I'm happy for him , but this is a slap in the face to Lt Mallard who has much more time on, humps calls on Christmas Day to help his people out so they can have the day off, and even worked numerous details for one of his subordinates that had just lost a loved one. Best part is he gave the money from the details to the said subordinate knowing he depended on the extra money. He is loyal to the end and deserves more respect. This is someone that never let rank go to his head. I don't understand this agency but nothing surprises me anymore

Well I guess now to get promoted it does not matter how hard you work, how loyal you are and how well respected you are, you need to be attending the higher ups parties, moving into the same neighborhoods and practically kiss some serious ass!

Amen to the one who posted about Mallard. Good guys who are excellent supervisors with seniority and integrity go nowhere in this agency. He's the perfect example of everything that's wrong here. Never mind in Casale's promotion, but more importantly in the absolutely toxic promotion of More who is a cancer everywhere he goes. This place is an absolute disaster. We always say it can't get worse but it always does.
