Mayor Gimenez and puppet MDPD director to blame for crime increase numbers

well, the truth of the matter here is that there is a genuine distrust/animosity between the employee populations of both The City of Miami, and Miami-Dade County (I worked for both back in the late 70’s and it was palpable then and I can only presume it has intensified over the intervening years).

So, sometime back the voters elect a RETIRED City of Miami Fire Dept top administrator as one of their commissioners. bad move. now this guy can FROM WITHIN, “fix” as a MD commissioner all the things he believes are wrong with MD, a sentiment stemming from his high level carreer at the city FD.

THEN, the idiot voters elect this same commissioner (strong) Mayor, increasing his power exponentially, and thereby accelerating his WAR on MD county.

Somewhere in the middle of all of this his son gets arrested by MDPD for drug violations.
How would you feel if your family member got arrested by the police, that you now have complete autonomous control over? Substantial conflict of interest, wouldn’t you agree?

So naturally the specialized unit that bagged his son was eliminated, along with a lot of other proactive units (because they were just victimizing poor citizens much like your son). And there you have it, an emasculated police department that cannot exert any influence on the criminal element.

The crooks KNOW IT and know that they are in the driver’s seat for now. So tighten your seat belt and get ready for the worst ride you (voter/taxpayer) have had in a very long time, because it is coming, if it isn’t already, in fact, HERE !

The level of corruption in this county is so high that all federal, state and local agencies are afraid to arrest anyone anymore because of political repercussions. From the State Attorney on down it is a house of cards. This director will not permit any investigation of any of the mayor's corrupt friends. That makes him complicit in criminal acts.
