I think they "worded" the pay that way to trick more dumba$$es into applying. That includes CAD pay. They will trick them into taking the job and then say "sorry, it's only peanuts for pay". The weight standards may have been waived, I don't know. They obviously must not follow them these days anyway. Look at all these little chubby cheek girls we hire now.

The recruiting website BeATrooper.com still has the $33,977 starting salary with $38,976 in Broward, Dade, Monroe, Palm Beach, Collier, and Lee. It doesn't include the counties that were added to the CMP last year or Pasco this year. The only mention of weight says it must be proportional to height. Glad to see the recruiting staff is on top of things.

I believe they will slowly put anything weight related in the back burner but wont make it a public announcement. Imagine having the facebook page announce that there isn't an official chart anymore restricting chubbies from applying.

There use to be a chart showing height/weight limits in http://beatrooper.com/about-the-acad...aration-guide/ but after searching the entire website up and down, the chart disappeared. It states you cant be 20 pounds over your limit but when you click the link, theres no chart.

You right that 38000 is for the troopers that will be sent south .. in reality starting salary is 36k
