The jist is this:
1. If you wanted to hear Knight speak, then you had to pay $2500 for a "gold plate special."
2. The event was a media flop because it wasn't picked up on by the press.
3. Gruters is a nice guy, but he needs to distance himself from Knight.
4. Knight probably (?) won't get arrested for contempt of court, BUT Knight's hearing is on August 9.

• STEP #1 – First, the local Sarasota GOP must find a recognizable elected official, preferably a political stooge who will do anything for attention and who can can be paid-off with promises of present and future political paybacks.

• Joe Gruters extraordinaire, a GOP visionary, arranged for the Sarasota GOP to agree to pick Mr. Tom Knight as the “elected person of the year.”
• Mr. Knight was then allowed to revel in the media spotlight (although it backfired because Knight was a media dud, but that’s a completely different story for another day).

POLITICAL & FINANCIAL CLAWBACK

• Mr. Knight then spoke at the $2500.00 pay-to-play golden plated blue plate special.
• Mr. Knight took the cash strapped political bait to receive promised political recognition.
• Future political paybacks are still being negotiated by the Sarasota GOP committee.

Sarasota GOP VIPs would like to know exactly when the 2nd DCA will rule on the case involving Mr. Knight's public defiance of a court order for the charge is contempt of court. The hearing is set for August 9.
