I didn't think so. I guess that guy meant every test in the academy except for the state exam is open book.

State exam is not open book. Matter of fact, about 6 people failed the state exam for BLE116. They have to retake it now.

State exam is given at Miami Dade College North Campus.

crushing dreams when trainees go onto the FDLE website and enter their social number and see ''FAIL'' doink...when i took the test yearsssssssssss ago..it was sooooo easy.. i think only one trainee of our BLE class failed only one part..back then it was 5 parts of test and must score 80% at least on each part..now its one whole test..and they made us drive up to west palm beach to take the state EXAM.. : ) the dinosaur

indeed..but, our class was 1996/97 over 20 years ago and state cert. test started in 1995..so, does that make me a baby dinosaur? lol

Immediately, you just write what you want on a piece of paper and they give it to you within 48 hours.

Awesome! Miami Police told me I had to wait 2 to 3 years and needed a college degree to advance. Glad that's not required at Miami dade.
