The extra holiday money and the salary we receive should make you feel good. However, the truth is the place has never been more difficult and nearly impossible for some to continue their employment. There is a growing number of people who are becoming more and more disenfranchised with the current state of affairs. The money is nice and might help recruit people. However, the real overstepping of power and authority can be felt and seen by the average cone to work and do your job employee. In time, no amount of benefits and money will get anyone of value through the door. No one likes to feel job scared and micromanaged all the time.

Do your job and then you ain't got nothing to feel micro managed about. Stop feeling sorry for your self and thinking that whining on this site is going to get you a pass to be able to keep doing nothing but collecting a check. Go look at the other agency boards and it is the same crap by the same nay sayers at every agency. Pasco and Hillsborough say the same thing. Do you really think that citizens reads this crap or care and do you think they care that you feel the Administration is really making you work for your check. Holy cr*ap Batman they make me work please feel sorry for me the scam is up and might have to do a check or take a call.

Those of you saying "do your job and you have no worries" etc have obviously not felt the micromanaging, or you're too new and stupid to realize the way an agency SHOULD be run.

Bob has turned this place into a hell hole. He micromanages it to death. Everyone is scared to make a decision, knowing they will immediately be second guessed by several layers of command. That shuts down activity, creativity and people's wanting to get involved in the process.

Those of us who've survived several Car 1's can tell you it's not good. It's counterproductive and results in life altering stress. Honestly, it contributes to the sexual dysfunction of the agency as well.

I'm guessing the posters who speak of sucking it up and doing your job are actually some of the command staff thinking they can score points with Bob by pretending to be road deputies who are happy. Nice try.......

The key is to have a productive life away from work. Be a good mother or father, spouse, get friends outside the agency, coach your kids team, get a hobby that has nothing to do with being a cop, surround yourself with positive, happy people. 12 hours every couple days shouldn't rule your life. Enjoy it!

Don't stress out. Car 1 and the his minions are definitely not on the same game plan. Car 1 likes his Apad with little arrests so he can keep jail costs low while his minions believe in lots of arrests and citations. When car 1 found out about the stats his minions were forcing down our throats, he went nuts on them.

If you get one traffic stop and one fir a night, you are fine. Quotas are illegal in Florida and they like scare tactics at the agency. If they write you up, which they won't, contact an attorney. Report it to FDLE and the news.

Key thing about the agency, don't get involved, don't volunteer and stay away. Do your 12 hours and you will be fine. Spend time with your wife, girlfriend, kids and family. Get a hobby. Remember it's only a job so don't stress out. It's only one call at a time.

As for promotions, it's rigged. If you aren't related to anyone or a good butt kisser or yes man, you aren't going anywhere. You are just a pawn, and expendable.

Hope everyone is safe. Just got in and on my way home there were 5 patrol cars lined up on Belcher near Solon because gunshots were heard. Human beings are idiots sometimes... You'd think people would try to NOT go to jail on Independence Day. Lol *shrugs* 🤷
