Lt. Lenita king and boi missing in action

Troop D orlando BOI and Lt. king are a special group. Has anyone seen them? Is it the color of your skin? At least since she's not here working hard like the rest of us, hopefully she's taking care of the husband at home so we don't embarrass the patrol again. If you know what i mean!!!!! 🤔
Sgt Tom Altieri, Tpr Hector Rodriguez, Tpr. Jason duran and Tpr marlon Binet should be ashamed of themselves. Disgrace to fhp and the public you serve. The rest of us will make FHP proud. What's bad about it, its this is our investigations people. Can you imagine the investigations? Rest my case. By the way, this is the same LT that doesn't supervise anybody, can't make a decision to save her life, worst supervisor in fhp history but throws everyone under the bus for missing court. Eventhough, she never shows up to court herself. loves throwing rocks at a glass house.

A great example of why FHP is failing.... So many in FHP have priorities set on things like making points about grammar and other irrelevant issues, they can't even open their eyes to the real dilemmas and challenges bringing the agency down.

The process seems to be the same. But it's a combination of factors I think.

    • Many people get hired by FHP first for certification as a stepping stone, then go elsewhere after two years, never looking back. The decent ones that do come to FHP are usually doing so for reasons other than money, like spouses or family who work with the state, movement around the state, etc.
    • The financial commitment contract to pay back money for academy training is discouraging ($11,000 now?). Over $7,500 for room and board, and over $3,000 for "other training costs". They might have more info at the FLHSMV recruiting BeATrooper.com website.
    • Some transitional applicants are DQ'd by the process; probably needed for some, others maybe not. It's not perfect.
    • Unknown disqualification process. Many SO's or PD's publish their basic DQ standards. I've never seen that from FHP or a DQ appeal process.
    • Many (especially senior folks) refuse to do ANY academy time. They aren't sure what it entails, or think they have done their time and shouldn't have to go to any academy. And they are fine where they are. FHP has nothing to entice them.
    • Tattoo policy; When they find out about our tattoo policy, some don't even bother applying. They don't want to wear long sleeves all year in Florida. They aren't aware of any workarounds.
    • Obviously, low pay compared to most all other originating agencies discourages many.
    • Just like current employee complain about step plans, potential employees (in LE) have already checked that out before considering an agency to apply at. No long-term step pay plan; no COLA/regular raises.
    • Additional years required for FRS vesting; no pension COLA.
    • Like regular applicants, multiple trips to different locations around the state for the application process physical, psychological, and poly are difficult to coordinate for those already on shift work.

If you cross over to FHP, you were "that one" that was offered the opportunity to resign in lieu of a lengthy investigation and a particularly embarrassing public firing.

Think about it...they are already LEO's, and nobody else would take them but FHP?

False, a lot of them got tired of working for a 19k a year city/county in the panhandle. Go work for Chipley PD. You’ll be screaming to come back to FHP.
