I'm a Sergeant that he didn't promote and he hasn't lost me. Damn your either crazy on medications or just really one of the lazy ones that can't move up. Do your job!

Did anyone else do the math with the sheriffs last email? He is essentially taking care of deputies who have less than one year and brand new sergeants with less than one year of experience, and that is it. That is a VERY small group of people. The starting pay was 37,500 prior to this move up to 40,000; with that said any Deputy who has been here longer than one year who got the 9% raise last year, already makes more than 40,000. The same goes for Sergeants who have less than 1 yr experience. WTF, do they not understand that in order to make it fair that would have to raise everyone's salary or else ranks are going to keep catching up with each other. I sure hope the next email outlining our raise is double digits like car 2 promised or there's going to be some furious people around here, even more so now than ever after Irma.

Why don't you just sit down and wait for that e-mail. Reread the last sentence of the one you got. A raise is coming.

On September 19, 2017, the Board of Lee County Commissioners approved our Sheriff’s Office budget of $174,491,595.
Included in this budget is a 4% pay increase for each full-time and part-time member who has a hire date prior to December 31, 2016. Those members with a hire date after January 1, 2017 will receive their increase on their one (1) year anniversary date.
Members who exceed the maximum of their job classification will receive a 2.2% increase based on an average CPI relative to cost of living.
Thank you all again for your outstanding work and dedication

    Pay scale

I think it's unfair that people who have been with lcso for 10+ years only make as much as the starting, even with the pay scale raises that was given last year. If you were hired around 04/05 there were so many years without pay raises but the starting pay kept increasing and they caught up to the ones that were already there. Sad

    Always complaining

9% last year 4 this year 5 next year, stop complaining, leave if you are unhappy, Tampa ,and Hillsborugh start off at 6,000 more a year and the then there is the East Coast. So many places that pay more ,why are you still here ? Some of us are content where we are . Please leave as you are only developing hypertension and that will kill you in 25 years.
