It's no surprise to you that the Chief has struggled with his transition into a Special Event City like Miami Beach. He has made some questionable policy changes that you must admit have contributed to the complete lawlessness that has taken over Ocean Drive. Let's take a ride on the sapingo trolley time machine.

-Makes an inexpierenced Deputy Chief. The Arlington Ghost was never around and clueless on policing in SOBE.
-Takes Off-Duty Officers off of Ocean Drive with no enhanced staffing to handle the increase calls for service.
-Has multiple DRIVE BY's just days after the off duty was canceled.
-Orders officers to not make arrests and write citations for marijuana. This resulted in a drug war on Ocean.
-A tourist from New York is shit at News Cafe at SEVEN in the morning.
-Puts cameras on CST (Our RID) which handcufffed them.
-Puts cameras on all Ocean Drive Units which also handcuffed the officers.
-Tells officers to not shoot at a vehicle no matter what and tell the people to "get out of the way"
-10's of thousands in vehicle repairs from crashing his car every other day.
-Says that an officer being dragged by a car a "sexy story"
-shows up to every shooting this weekend, not concerned with the case, but pushing to open the streets ASAP.
-Shows up to a high profile press conference with NO BADGE.

I can go on and on but you get my point. Ultimately, you not the Mayor, will be the one responsible for hiring him and keeping him for so long. I will end it with a question. What's is it going to take for you to give us a real chief that surrounds himself with great leaders?

Jimmy NoBalless is waiting to see who wins in November so he can turn his coat. He is not a Manager. A Manager does what's in the best interest of the City. Jimmy is a politician which does whatever keeps him in office.

The Chief has proven on multiple occasions that he is not the right fit for a City like Miami Beach. But he can not do anything because NO TIENE COJONE.

Jimmy, as a Hispanic how do you allow the disparity when it comes to the way Latinos are treated compared to others? Didn't the County HOA support you? You are a heck of a lot smarter than Phil and Oates.

The Manager is well aware of Dan's shortcomings. Unfortunately he doesn't make a decision unless he has 4 commissioners on his side. That's why he should give up trying to be an administrator and go back to being a jellyfish politician.

Why has no one at an cop meeting bring to the floor a vote of no confidence for this guy ??????? You are wrong if you think that vote is only symbolic. It carries huge media weight and many political decisions. Do that and it would be just and proper.

Mr. City Manager,
The Officers at the Miami Beach Police Department are not confident in the decisions that Chief Oates has made, and with that being said the officers will continue to be reactive and not pro active. This is the main reason for the rise in all types of crimes. Make no mistake about it the officers are concerned about going out and fighting crime in an aggressive manner due to the fact it may draw them in to Chief Oates cross hairs. He has made a media circus out of officers lives and this agency. He has created a department of mistrust with his decision making. In addition he has taken the drive out of proactive units like CST and destroyed the moral. The bottom line is the officers do not trust the Chief nor will they work for him. Mr. City Manager the lawsuits are going to start to pile up on the city by officers and when the truth comes out on the way things have been handled by Chief Oates the embarrassment is going to be falling on your lap.

On another note. Why did you allow for the Chief to give a thief all of his retro money for the time he was suspended? Why is his last chance only for a year? Did you even know about this?
