Haitian Heritage Cultural Month
Good afternoon,
In celebration of May 2017 as Haitian Heritage Cultural Month, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at 8:30 a.m., during the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) meeting, Commissioner Monestime will recognize the following personnel, of Haitian heritage, for being the first Haitian-American police officers hired by the Department to have reached the ranks of sergeant, lieutenant, and major (as well as the first female lieutenants):
· Garry Jeanniton - Major - Court Services Bureau - first to make lieutenant and major
· Louis Narcisse - Retired - first police officer
· Emmanuel Jean Nelson - Retired - first to make police sergeant
· Viviane Louis - Lieutenant - Central Records Bureau - first female to make lieutenant
· Angelique Guerrier - Lieutenant - South District - first female to make lieutenant

You people aren't happy with anything! They could've named Haitian officers that are "QRU" and you still would've been like "Sorry POS officers" or "Look at their sorry country" ..........goodness lol
