    Heather Post

I find it extremely upsetting that Heather Post is consistently voting against the deputies while a member of the county council. Today she voted with the county council to have a firm study the use of force by deputies. And a month or so ago she voted with Dinneen in the issue with Sheriff Chitwood.

Heather, you are forgetting us deputies........you were once one of us

As the Volusia Exposed article indicates it appeared Heather Post had veracity issues.

A couple of months ago veracity issues were brought up in a "Barkers View" article while Heather Post is serving on the county council.

Heather....veracity issues aside.....we need you to support the deputies.

    From the article:

Unfortunately, rather than find the strength of character to stand-up to the contemptuous bullies sitting with her on the dais, Post began this weird dance between the truth and a lie, prevaricating about her involvement, and denying that she had been appointed to the First Step board at all.
“I am not on the board.* They can’t put me on the board,” Post yammered – sounding like something out of a bad Gilligan’s Island farce.
Then, when pressed for an explanation for her bizarre dithering, Post said: “I really don’t want to discuss any of that anymore.* We just need to set all this ridiculousness aside.”
    I guess not.
Looks like Heather Post learned one thing from her unfortunate attempt to break the obstructionist mold and get down in the grassroots to help resolve an intractable local problem – how to tap dance and quibble your way out of a sticky political wicket when personal courage and strength of character would have served her better.
    How tragic.* How typical.

I don't think Barkers View likes Heather Post that much.

I see the Union is really putting forth a great amount of energy to praise heather post...despite issues with her (1) checkered work history (2) truthfulness and veracity issues while a county council member and (3) narcotics use. I hope that she will actually go to bat for the rank and file deputies.

Barkers View called out Heather Post for being a "self promoter" today. I really wished she would get behind the deputies instead of worrying about future political offices (same feelings about Chitwood).

Why does Heather Post hate the safety and security of school children? In today's News Journal she was quoted as calling the law that ensures armed security at each and every school a "ridiculous Mandate." This law should have happened years ago. Is it because of Heather's checkered work history (fired from the VCSO), resigning from the Brevard SO due to not passing FTO, being the respondent in an injunction; veracity issues with DCF; failed polygraphs; cocaine and marijuana usage, etc.

It is obvious Heather is kind of out there (according to the links from Barkers View, Volusia Exposed, the News Journal and other sources). …..but to call a state law a "ridiculous mandate" that is for the safety of children is pretty naïve.

Oh Henry, you have your facts wrong again. So much for that award-winning journalism huh? You must not have your head straight.
