This captain is an uneducated redneck who got the job because the Colonel is the same way, and he backstabbed his way kissing a#& a few times. He is clueless and lets the two lieutenants run things, not to mention, the lieutenants are worse than him when it comes to backstabbing. We have a game of thrones going on in Ft Myers nowadays.

Wrong
That's where you are wrong. This Captain has worked his way up from the bottom. If you think you could do better, then do it! He takes a lot of shit from the higher-ups and of course, shit rolls down hill. Same people always have something to say, but never do anything to fix it.

Face it Ft. Myers has been screwed up ever since Donn Conn retired, I know the Donn Conn haters will be posting soon but under Captain Conn the district ran pretty smooth.
Since Captain Conn retired the district has been run by a bunch of clowns and what you have today is the result of many years of unqualified people being promoted to Captain who did not have a clue how to run a district.

Yes he sure did. He worked the road for less than a year and went straight to ciu where be spent his whole career. He promoted to ciu Sgt then lieutenant for a year. Never worked midnights nor holidays nor weekends. He is one of the very few that can say, he doesn't know what the road is about. So go preach to someone else. When be was the ciu Sgt, his guys were scheduled to work weekends all the time but he never did. As a lt for a year, he came up with a magic schedule so he wouldn't work weekends. Talk the talk but never walked the walk.
He might be a nice guy in your face, but be very careful.

Not at all, we all know captains need weekends off so they can get their beauty rest.... we are referring that if you are a squad sgt and you make your guys work weekends, then should be out with them.
It's every men for himself in this agency. Then we wonder why sick leave hours are on the rise.
I believe that's what the other poster was referring to. If this guy never worked a weekend in his whole career, then that's the first requirement to make captain. You are already used to it, so might as well continue.
