Every station has been running dry for almost two years. I highly doubt we'll get the citation program anytime soon. Nowadays, who gives tickets?

With the SIZE of the police administration at the Miami-Dade Police Department, I find it hard to conceive that a problem like this can exist. Traffic is an important tool regarding probable cause. The mission of a police administration is to SUPPORT police officers in their crime fighting mission. A cloud of 'self-initiated drama' and subpar performance seem to permeate the air in the offices located in the Land of Francis Dade. Unfortunately, this is just one of the many failings on their part. It would appear that very few administrators have ever been top tier crime fighters. The administrators that understand the mission are at an unacceptable level, and have been for years.

Media read this!!
We cant write tickets cause they are rationed out. Traffic safety is not a concern of the miami-dade police. The radar units barely work and are outdated. No one wants to handle dui enforcement at the district level. There are no traffic units at the district level.

Etickets? We don't want or need etickets. Regardless everyone knows MDPD doesn't have a eticket program so we won't stop anyone or get a nice warning when we do.

You obviously are one of those people or dinosaurs who think that you don't need to enforce laws. Those of us who actually work want etickets, it's easier to swipe a Dl and select the statute and print and even more so for multiple tickets then writing them by hand.
