I believe this is to double the incentive. The agency has to match the 130 incentive that you get based on education, training, etc. Unless I'm wrong, that means it will be 260 with the agency contribution. Now the question is, will this just be only the state agencies or all of Florida?

This is great. The only place to receive incentive class is Tallahassee Pat Thomas if approved or have a four year degree. Career development plan

No you are misreading it.. It is a max of 130, Local agencies also have this program but it always says funds available. But no this Bill does not increase the amount to 260...

So screw a step plan, we'll just give you $100 more a month, that will solve all your problems. PBA will hail this and say "we did it, we got a career development plan". This is again, a bandaid on a hemorrhage. It's annoying they paid an entire committee a year to come up with a career development plan and this is what's left of it. Disappointing.....

Its meant to double the incentive cap so it would go up to 260. Meaning you'd have to take more 40 hr FDLE approved courses. Assuming you max out thats about 3100 bucks more a year.

This pipe dream died earlier this week with the Senates proposal. If you make less than 40K you will get 5% pay raise, plus a $1400 add on. If you make more than 40k, you will get 5% pay raise and $1000 add on.

All going towards your retirement. The $1000 and $1400 are basically longevity bumps, w/o calling it a longevity raise.
