Rookie Jose Acosta pleads not guilty (lol)

A Miami police officer who is accused of stealing from people during traffic stops appeared Monday in court and pleaded not guilty to multiple charges.
Jose Acosta, 22, is facing 34 total counts from various charges, including armed burglary, armed grand theft, petty theft and false imprisonment.
He was taken into custody to be fitted for an ankle monitor and was placed on house arrest. He was also ordered to surrender any weapons and to stay away from all the victims in the case.
Acosta was arrested March 10 after a sting operation by the Miami Police Department's internal affairs division and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement because of complaints about Acosta stealing from people.
Authorities said Acosta pulled over an undercover agent and stole $1,250 while searching the agent’s pockets and vehicle.
According to an arrest report, Acosta conducted five unreported traffic stops on the same day and had each driver step out of his or her vehicle. Each vehicle was searched and the drivers were released without being cited, authorities said.

Acosta was arrested outside his apartment as he arrived home after his shift.
Miami police said Acosta has been on the force since May 2016 and was most recently patrolling the Wynwood neighborhood.
Authorities believe that Acosta was operating on his own. They urge anyone who might have been victimized to contact police.
Acosta's attorney said his client intends to fight the charges against him.
"Mr. Acosta is a young officer who has dedicated himself to the community and has worked hard and is in this unfortunate circumstance, and we're going to work through it," defense attorney George Pallas said.

I dont see the difference between acosta and other employees that have a loooong record abusing their power.

Why does one get a dog and pony press conference and yes rightfully arrested while another gets covered up at all cost??????not even relieved of duty just a blatant cover up!!!!

You have an employee with more complaints than any other employee .....red flag

You have an employee making improper remarks on social media and a pattern towards certain race and religions......red flag

You have an employee who continues to seek media attention for his own behavior....red flag

You have an employee with more lawsuits than any other employee currently in the department
    Red flag

You have complaints of discrimination from other employees and citizens .... red flag

You have evidence of falsifying official documents that cause suffering to citizens..... red flag

You have an employees behavior rising to the level of stalking and harassing his accusers.
    ..... red flags

You have countless witnesses and documentation to show there is one employee that has committed all of these acts.

But large amounts of money go from one account controlled by this employee to politicians

But the employees race and nation al origin is the same as those in charge of investigation him

The flags are all ignored and covered up

You pled not guilty. To give your attorney a chance to see discovery. To see what, if anything he can pick apart. Then you have depo's, to try and confuse victim's, witnesses and any officers involved. You pled at your first appearance and you'll get nailed. With no chance of any appeal's. I too, find it funny. The department and FDLE go all out on this incident, which it appears he's screwed the pooch. Yet, another get's relieved of police duties and sit's at a desk but can still do police duties as an FOP president. Na, we don't have doubled standard's.
